Oxford, 8 July 2026 — The Institute of Digital Economy and Innovation (IDEI) co‑launched the Global Human–AI (HAI) Alliance at the Oxford HAI Workshop held from 6–8 July 2026. The Alliance was established in collaboration with the Oxford Human–AI Interaction (HAI) Lab at Saïd Business School and the Chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

The Global HAI Alliance was formed as a cross‑regional platform for research, practice, and governance of human–AI interaction. Bringing together academic institutions and regional partners, the initiative was designed to examine how artificial intelligence is developed, adopted, and governed across different institutional and organizational contexts. The Alliance aims to bridge research, industry, and policy communities while advancing comparative, human‑centred approaches to AI transformation.

During the launch session at Oxford, the founding representatives introduced the Alliance’s vision and governance structure, including the formation of an Advisory Board composed of leaders from business, legal, policy, and academic communities. The launch also included a preview of the Alliance’s official website and an open invitation for distinguished workshop participants to contribute to its future activities.

Through this initiative, IDEI at HKUBS reaffirmed its commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research and global dialogue on digital innovation. The launch of the Global HAI Alliance marked an important milestone in fostering long‑term international collaboration to ensure that AI systems are developed and governed in ways that are responsible, resilient, and human‑centred.
